Getting Started in Bitlife Sports Career
Starting your career with a character with a high level of athleticism is highly recommended! Texts appearing on your timeline typically indicate that you’re getting in trouble for throwing things in the house a bit too far, as well as other examples. After you get into secondary or middle school, you can judge how high the standards are—at that point, you choose which sport you want to pursue professionally.
You’ll need to work harder every year to keep up your performance when you join a club. It would help if you also studied hard to prevent getting kicked off for poor grades. While natural athleticism is important, it can also be kept up by going to the gym and practicing martial arts techniques. You should rejoin the sports club and continue to do well as soon as you reach high school/upper secondary school.
You may receive a pop-up when you graduate and turn 18, telling you that you have been offered an athletic scholarship or a deal with a team to sign, and then emigrate to the country where that league is located (your partner and kids can accompany you if they wish, just as you would with any other emigration).
Although accepting an athletic scholarship will get you into university for free, it won’t have much of a lasting impact on your future sports career, so you shouldn’t choose that (if you want to play professional American football, you must attend college, other sports can be played without attending college). The beginning of your career as a professional athlete begins when you accept an offer from a particular team. Although your skills will start low, you can train them every year and eventually join the championing team.
Even if none of these offers are available, you can apply under Job > Special Careers > Professional Sports > Whichever league you want to enter> Whichever team. Even so, it’s usually harder to get in if a recruiter does not approach you.
Sinister Activities in Bitlife
Getting a higher league standing by doping in addition to training is possible. Aside from training, there are other, more sinister ways of getting to the league’s top. Doping can be done under the Performance Enhancer (Give a chemical boost) heading, which doesn’t give you any visible signs but does increase your chances of having a higher “Greatness” stat next year, and if your team is in the runners-up position, winning the championship next year (there is also a random scenario where you can catch your teammate doing some cheating in the locker room and you have the option of asking him to share it, but it is not clear whether the game counts that).
In some cases, it may be the case that a random circumstance requires that you undergo a doping test; then, you have the option of submitting yourself for testing (and resulting in a five-year ban), asking someone else to do so for you (they may say no and get you banned, or they may say yes), or refusing to do so at all. If you do this, you will be banned for three years from competing.
There is also a chance that you will get the random pop-up that offers a Mafioso or someone similar offering you some cash for playing poorly so the other team can win. Many options are available, such as declining the bribe but turning a blind eye or reporting the problem to authorities, whichever you choose to do.
The bribe can be pretty hefty, and you may be tempted to take it. If you are caught, you could be banned entirely from the leagues! If you choose the last option, you may get beaten up by the mafia, but it will keep your respect at an alright level, which you would not be able to say if you were caught.
Collaboration with Other Teams
You cannot interact with your fellow team members, but you can interact with other teams to some degree! Is it possible to ask another team to take over your contract for the remainder of the years left in it for a trade-off? Depending on the team’s strength and standing, you might be accepted if your greatness is high enough; otherwise, you might be rejected, but there are no further consequences if you do not get accepted.
Job > Professional Athlete > League allows you to see the standings of other teams and who the current champion is.
Occasionally, you may have to deal with scenarios that involve your team members and members of other teams. For example, when an opponent trash-talks you on the field, your team might assign you to help your coach lose their V-card, or a team member may have organized an organization and invited you (this can happen regardless of whether or not you have a spouse!). You can attend and be the star, attend and play only a minor role, attend but not participate much, or go home if you prefer.).
Unlockable Bitlife Sports achievements
A new category of achievements has been added: Sports. This includes Canton, Cristiano, Full Ride, Giggsy, Hooker, and Lance.
Canton’s achievement refers to the Hall of Fame. Football players who achieve very high levels of greatness, respect, and general skills could be added to this. Cristiano’s achievement refers to the Ballon d’Or award given to the best players yearly.
As mentioned under Starting Your Sports Career, the Full Ride award refers to the athletic scholarship. Giggsy’s achievement refers to career championships, which are won by playing on a team with high strength stats and having good strength stats yourself. Football/rugby hookers are the Hooker’s achievement, while Lance refers to the action of doping mentioned under Sinister Activities.
